Kate: Hey Josh, have you ever been the only one to show up to a class or meeting?
If so, what did you do then?
Josh: In my 3rd year of University I was waiting outside the classroom for our professor and I was the only student out of 300 waiting.
Eventually, after waiting 15 minutes, a girl was walking by and told me classes were canceled.
I felt foolish.
Turns out she was in the class after mine and that’s why she knew.
We went and had tea and studied together that afternoon.
Kate: Sounds like you had a meet-cute!
All in all, not a bad thing you showed up to that cancelled class.
Josh: Thinking back, Kate, have you ever been the only one to show up to a class or meeting?
If so, what did you do then?
Kate: That never happened to me,
because I would always make sure I share the same classes with my friends.
I would always be informed in advance by my friends and if I’m the first person to know about a cancellation, then I would let my friends know.
See? It’s a win-win!
Josh: Sounds like a perfect system.
Kate: How about you?
Have you ever been the only one to show up to a class or meeting?
If so, what did you do then?
Me: _________ .
Kate: I see! Well, if there’s ever a cancellation in this class, I’ll be sure to let you know in advance.
